What is the Palace Project? 

The Palace Project is your one-stop login to access almost all of our digital eBooks and eAudiobooks! The Palace Project offers patrons streamlined access to ebooks and audiobooks from Libby, eRead Kids, and Palace Project-exclusive titles through the app or the online web catalog. 

Library cardholders experiencing long hold wait times for high-demand titles in other platforms can take advantage of added copies and unique titles available through the Palace app. The Palace Project also offers more unique content to patrons, including exclusive access to Amazon and Audible titles, as well as items without holds, waits, or checkouts. This new platform allows patrons to access many of our library’s existing digital collections in one app.

Download the App

  1. Install The Palace Project app from your device's app store. 

  2. Open The Palace Project app and swipe through the quick guide to start

  3. Tap "Find Your Library"

  4. Tap the magnifiying glass at the top to search "piedmont regional"

  5. Tap on Piedmont Regional Library System to access the full collection (including 18+ content,) or eRead Kids - Piedmont Regional Library System to access our PreK-4th grade collection.

Sync Your Library Card to Your Account

  1. Tap on "Settings" in the bottom menu bar

  2. Tap on "Libraries"

  3. Tap on "Piedmont Regional Library"

  4. Type in your library card number and PINES password.

  5. Click "Sign In"

  6. Click "Sync Bookmarks" (this will enable the Palace Project app to sync Libby to your Palace Project app)

Access via a web browser

Choose Your Palace Library Collection

  1. Click here to access the full Piedmont Regional Library System collection (for all ages, but includes 18+ content.)

  2. Click here to access the eRead Kids collection that is specially curated for children PreK-4th grade.

Sign In and Begin Reading!​

  1. Click on “Sign In”

  2. Enter your Barcode and PIN/Password and click “Login”

  3. Browse or search for an item to checkout

  4. Click on “Borrow this book” to checkout or “Reserve this book” to place on hold

  5. Click “Read Online” to read in the browser or find your library in the Palace app on your mobile device to read in app

  6. To see all items checked out and on hold in the web catalog, go to the “My Books” tab
